Domestic violence

Domestic violence has always been a major since early nineteenth century. Before this time domestic violence used to be on a large scale throughout the world. This was mainly due to the low level of education and less awareness among people. Since it was the industrial era, therefore most people were the normal laborers. Wealth was in hands of very few persons. It was this fact which made domestic violence even more inevitable. Domestic violence is basically common among the low earning families and person who have never been to any educational institution. Domestic violence is a vast field itself and it includes a lot of areas which needs to be studied in detail. There are many kinds of domestic violence. Domestic violence can occur in various situations. In order to know the exact meaning of domestic violence, we need to go in depth and get the meanings. Majority of people are unaware of domestic violence and they do knot know what it means. Domestic violence is basically the use of physical force which is applied on a person by another member of his/her family. This is usually the case between husband and wives but it can also include other relatives as well. It can be between a father and his son/daughter or it can also be between a brother and a sister. Domestic violence can be of different types. The most common ones are;
* Physical violence (physical domestic violence is one where the partner or member of the family is using force on the other one. It can be hitting, slapping, kicking or even shooting in a serious case. This is the most common example of domestic violence and it includes husband and wives mostly)
* Sexual violence (sexual violence is another very popular way of committing a domestic violence. This is where one person tries to sexually involve with another member of the family or with the partner against his or her will. It is where he do sex by force. An example includes incest as well. Incest is regarded as the most pathetic act that can be committed by a normal human in any society)
* Psychological violence (this is where the person is trying to play with the emotions of the other. For example if he is isolating the partner from rest of the family)

Like any country domestic violence in Latin America has also been a very disturbing factor and has always required the proper attention of the authorities. Today more laws are being introduced to make Latin America a better place for living.
